Something happened early 2020. One year and a few consecutive lockdowns later, we had had our share of online games that you could play with friends or by yourself.

We have always been fans of escape games and their board game equivalents. Being forced to stay indoor so much, we discovered a new world of digital games that appealed to us through their creativity and simplicity. The text-based MUD game Frandum was one of them. Its focus on world-building, exploration and imagination had us addicted for a few weeks.

This sense of quest and storytelling was something we tried to craft into The Missing Banksy. We came up with the game idea one evening and created it from start to finish in a few weeks only—the key to it was an easy to launch setup and lots of passion.

It is hopefully the first opus in a series of story-based games we'll be creating in the future. As usual, we already have many ideas, but now comes the hardest part: setting aside some time to get it done.
